The tiler
Wayne is a Bedfordshire tiler who would rather do one room properly than three at speed.
Most tiling that fails didn’t fail at the tile. It failed at the substrate that moved, the tanking that was skipped, or the setting out that nobody thought about until the last row.
We work the other way round. The survey, the levels, the falls and the waterproofing get the time, and the tiling itself becomes the straightforward part. It is slower. It is also why so much of the work comes through repeat customers and word of mouth.

The craft
Everything that happens before the tile
Boarding, tanking, levelling, decoupling, setting out. None of it shows in a photograph and all of it decides whether the room still looks right in ten years.
Survey
We come and look properly — substrate, levels, falls, where the light lands. Nothing gets priced off a photograph alone.
Setting out
Dry-laid and marked up before a single tile is fixed, so full tiles land where the eye goes and cuts end up out of sight.
Preparation
Levelling, backer board, decoupling membrane, two-coat tanking. The half of the job you never see once it's finished.
Fixing & finishing
Fixed, grouted, siliconed and washed down. Site swept every evening, and walked through with you before we leave.
